The original house, built in 1960, was literally falling apart. A white shingle style, east-coast feel was the starting point. The mansard roof design was eliminated in favor of a tripartite roof, allowing views over it from the uphill neighbor. The interior ceiling was opened up to the roof, giving a visual expansion of space and allowing better views across Richardson Bay. The massice landscape rebuild and outdoor lannai allow for true indoor-outdoor living. Radiant slabs, photovoltaic panels, zero-VOC paints and stains complement the architecture.
