Nicole Hanks began in residential architecture as an intern in high school, studied art history at UC Davis and architecture at IUAV (Venice, Italy). She has a Master of Architecture from Cornell University, where she attended 'Cornell in Rome' and participated in the '06 Rotterdam Biennale.
She sees residential design as an individualized experience that is built out of a collaborative objective that balances vision and pragmatism. She is always looking to gain more with less impact, and finds that success can be found in the smallest details.
